I am an Egyptologist whose research focuses on diachronic change in the Egyptian language, the Old Kingdom, the development of early writing, and the relationship between Egyptian and the other Afro-Asiatic languages.
I am currently a Research Associate with the Department of Egyptian Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
